LES COQUETTES is pleased to announce the inception of Les Coquettes Academy. Come learn the art of burlesque with Les Coquettes’ co-founders and professional burlesque artists, Lilli Bubalotovich and La Minouche.
This six-week program will aim to give you an overall appreciation of performing as a burlesque artist. We will take you from creating your very own burlesque persona, to learning how to search for and embellish simple costumes and props. Students will learn a classic Coquettes number and will develop their own solo. We’ll show you tricks of the trade for glamorous yet simple hair and makeup. There will be homework, but it won’t be like any you’ve done before! At the end of this 6-week journey invite your friends and family to come watch you strut your stuff in an Academy Finale! Make your mama proud!
